Fancy vinyl graphics are used on offshore racing sailboats and america’s cup boats to display the names of sponsors, and on tournament fishboats, bass boats, racing powerboats, etc. when the sponsor backs out, his name can be easily peeled off, and a new sponsor squeegeed on. vinyl is a good choice for lettering and graphics on the transom, too.. The wrap is somewhat fragile. put a fender between the wrapped hull and the dock and there's no problems. mine is currently wet slipped on a side tie slip, 2 fenders between hull and floating dock tied up tight and no wear in wrap at fender contact points. but i have a few nicks in the bow wrap from pulling up the fortress anchor.. Most of the wild group’s jobs for cruisers are boat names and graphics which are printed on vinyl at the company’s workshop, or coloured vinyl cover-ups of faded, chalky hull bands. however, owners are slowly beginning to put their trust in vinyl for the entire hull..
