tango skiff plans
The tango skiffs were designed to be easy to build, lightweight, low-power planing skiff. these boats are built from marine plywood using the stitch and glue method. the unique transom design reduces the squatting common with small, outboard powered boats making it easier to get on plane.. What a difference with the sides stitched on! i was excited back when i stitched the boat bottom but with the sides on, the tango skiff build is really a boat.. sides stitched to the bottom. i’ve been enjoying the challenge of this being a solo effort.. The plans for the 17 include a couple of drawings for a paper model (seen up top). personally, i found this very helpful and encouraging. since the boat is entirely plywood with no lumber involved, building a paper version is a great way to get an idea of what’s in store. a completed tango skiff 17.
